Who is Atia Evans?

I recently did a show at the King's Island Resort Hotel and after my performance I was approached by more than a couple people asking where I was from and when I replied with "I'm from Cincinnati,Oh" their response was" I've never heard of you"lol! So today I want to let everyone know who I am and what I'm about.

I've lived out in this area for about 7 yrs now ....coming from NY where I finished college w/ a degree in Computer Graphics. I loved it out that way, big ups to all my homies on Long Island strong Island.

Giving my life to christ when I got back was one of the best experiences ever. I wanted to do something for God, anything....and at the the moment I knew he blessed me with a gift to rap but I didn't see many female emcees holding it down so I was hesitant at first. Nevertheless when God says move we must move. So I did.... I contacted Bruce Lesun through internet and that's where I started my journey. He helped me develope my first album through engineering it all and giving feedback. I ended up getting beats from any producer I could and after I finshed recording Religitics(dropped 07) I wanted to own my own equipment. So I ent out and purchased all of the equipment needed. Don't get me wrong Lesun wasn't charging much($15/hr) but it adds up for all the work I put in and I also wanted to learn how to engineer for myself. I wanted to learn the business, make connects and be able to produce for ME. So I took the wrong approach thinking I needed managers and representation....WRONG!!! At that time I was new to everything I hadn't even developed my craft yet...lol! It's so funny to look back on it now, but the Lord was grooming me for where I am now and I'm thankful.
The next year I dropped Hi-Def "a clear image of what God wants from us" (dropped 08)the album speaks for itself very creative in it's own way. I still wasn't out much before the people because this whole music business was about relationships and if you aren't among the ones who do music how will they ever know you exist? They don't and they won't....this is where I then had to prove myself. Nothing in this life is free you must work harder and harder and when you've worked long and hard enough keeping WORKING HARDER & HARDER! So I had got a word from God where it was like 09" is your yr....so I said to myself"this is the confirmation I was looking for it's now time" see you never want to move unless God speaks for the move to take place, that much I've learned. If you move to early or to soon you could miss your season. Last yr. I booked shows here and there but when God said it was time I was contacted by people I never heard of...... off of myspace, through email, other connects and contacts. God is good and where ever I go I understand I must prove myself, my blessing and my anointing, I'm willing too!
So this yr I started really building relationships with people to accompany ministry. I recently just sent off this Mixtape dropping called "Rip the Runway" feat. your very own D-Maub, K-Drama, Street Pastor, Pro, Heesun Lee and Trinity. If any of you all read this I just want to thank-you for coming together. OHIO stand up! That mixtape is dropping Nov and it's fire. I am currently working on my 3rd album entitled "Be Different". I am also working on another mixtape with DJ I Rock Jesus and doing a 4th project for a producer by the name of Terrell Strong located in Georgia (I'm on the move..lol)!
